Karibu Beach Resort

The beach and pool are both beautiful and peaceful, and the staff are always ready to help and go beyond what’s expected. The resort was absolutely clean and the atmosphere was so calm. It didn’t lack a thing. 10/10, would recommend!

Right by the ocean, Karibu Beach Resort has a calm, cozy atmosphere. The food was tasty and there was plenty of variety. Staff were attentive and helpful, always ready to lend a hand. A wonderful stay, and the kind of place you’d want to come back to 🌊

The staff did their jobs fine, but I couldn’t enjoy a single meal at the restaurant. The food was really awful, and dining became a struggle every day. The beach was a letdown too, poorly maintained and covered in algae, so it didn’t look appealing or seem good for swimming. The pool was far too small for the guests, more like one at a small hotel than a resort. I stayed for a week, and the rooms were constantly humid, making it hard to relax or sleep well. The electricity also cut out for around 20 minutes every night, which I didn’t expect at a resort. I recommend not wasting your money here. Book an actual 5 star resort instead. Staying here lowered the quality of my time in Zanzibar.

The food was below average and really spoiled the experience. Half board only covered one main course from a menu, so I still had to pay for starters, dessert, and drinks. The location is bad, and the beach is full of algae with nothing to do there. It didn’t look as pretty as the pictures. This wasn’t worth the money or the disappointment. There are plenty of other resorts.
