We were looking for a decent restaurant in the village and I think we found one. The fish of the day was especially good, and the chicken curry was tasty too. They also make their own bread, which was really good. The room was dimly lit, so our photos came out dark. We had a good time overall, though the repetitive music loops gave the place a slightly strange feel.

The lodge is built on the rocks, where waves splash right by your place to relax. At low tide, tourists can walk over the coral reefs and chat with local fishermen and women. It's a peaceful spot to enjoy the sea, and a great place to watch the sunset with an unobstructed view and take clear photos. You can book different Zanzibar activities while you're here. At Karamba, you can buy things from the local shop and work with local Beach Boys. Ibrasswimmer offers dolphin trips, fishing, snorkeling, SandBank Island, Stone Town and Prison Island, Mnemba, Nungwi, Kendwa, and spice tours. The sunset view was lovely, the staff were very friendly, and the food tasted great. It isn't cheap, but I thought it was worth the price. I didn't expect to find such a fantastic restaurant in a place like this. Truly the best one in Kizimkazi!

We let Robert, the chef and owner, choose what to make for us instead of ordering from the menu. He was so welcoming, and brought us a selection of fresh fish and seafood, all cooked perfectly. I'll definitely be back for more.

The setting is nice, and it might suit you if you're here for yoga. But if you came for good food and great service, you'll be disappointed. The food was bad, service dragged, and the drinks were warm. The owners watched from the side while their staff struggled without stepping in to help. Adding a 5% credit card fee to the bill at the end of dinner is unprofessional.
