We meant to stay at Lushoto Executive Lodge for three days, but the peace, mountain setting, comfortable rooms, and kind staff convinced us to stay a whole week. We left only because we wanted to see more of Tanzania, and would happily have stayed longer. There are lovely natural spots around the property, from a little golf course and riverside benches to a bamboo forest. It's a pleasant 10-minute walk through the forest to Lushoto. The rooms and shared spaces were very clean and comfortable, too. Mr. Sifa was so helpful, Stella was a very kind receptionist, and Evode was the best maître d’hôtel we've met during our long trip in Tanzania. If I come back to the Usambara Mountains, I'll stay here again.

We expected to spend three days here, but ended up staying the week. The peaceful setting, lovely nature, cozy rooms, and warm staff made it hard to leave. We only went on to see more of Tanzania, otherwise we'd still be there! The grounds have a mini golf course, benches by the river, and a bamboo grove, all wonderful to explore. The rooms and shared spaces were spotless and welcoming. Lushoto town center is a nice 10-minute walk through the woods, and there's a shortcut if you ask. Mr. Sifa was always helpful, Stella at reception was friendly, and Evode was the finest maître d’hôtel we've met on our extended trip through Tanzania. Lushoto Executive Lodge would be my first choice if I return to the Usambara Mountains.

The park is huge and lovely for a wander, and kids have plenty of things to play on. It’s immersed in nature. If you know the shortcut, the center of Lushoto is a 7-minute walk away :). Dinner wasn’t amazing, but felt worth what it cost. And if you stay a day, don’t skip the body massage, it really adds something to the holiday.

After a tiring Christmas stretch at work, spending the day in the gardens was just what I needed. They were beautiful and relaxing. A friend and I had a belated birthday lunch there, and it was amazing. Thanks again to Mr Sifa and the team for such a great, restful day.

The grounds were the highlight for me, with trees, gardens, flowers, waterfalls, and plenty more, plus a mini golf course that fit right into the setting. The location is beautiful and the staff are friendly. The rooms were clean and really cozy, and the restaurant had lots of delicious choices. It’s exactly the kind of relaxing place you imagine.
