The food was a real highlight, especially the daily changing soups, which were exceptionally good. Salim, chef Evans, and the diligent kitchen staff served a tasty range of dishes, with several vegetarian options, all professionally prepared and presented. The property is clean, quiet, and comfortable, with fresh mountain air and greenery all around. It feels like a private little oasis, and the staff and service were outstanding. Noella at reception kept checking whether we were happy or needed anything, so it was easy to ask for things and they were promptly taken care of. Everyone was communicative and responsive. Ian and Livingstone from Everyday Safari arranged and carefully guided our challenging but rewarding day hike up Kilimanjaro, with good communication throughout. A beautiful hidden sanctuary just minutes from Marangu gate, and a special place to stay for Kilimanjaro.

The soups were fantastic, especially the spinach, vegetable, and carrot ones. Breakfast and dinner were great too, and the service was top notch.

The room turned out fantastic, much nicer than the online pictures, and the location looked wonderful. We were there for a day to see Mount Kilimanjaro during our honeymoon and had been looking for a budget-friendly hotel that still felt high quality. They welcomed us warmly with traditional juice and made a special honeymoon surprise, treating us with such care the whole time. I even suggested they update the internet photos because the place is much more beautiful in person. Thanks for such a special experience. We recommend it 100 percent! 🤗

The rooms have a quiet, minimalist look that blends in nicely, and I especially liked that there are no TVs. Noela, the front office manager, is brilliant and helpful without going overboard. I’d wholeheartedly recommend staying here. If I’m back in the area, I’ll stay again, even if it’s only to pay a courtesy call.

We stayed during low season, so it was really quiet, and the grounds are very pretty. The staff were kind and professional. Our room was an older one, but it was fine for a few days, and the beds were comfy. Some rooms have been renovated, and those look great. Asante Sana!
