JAZ Elite Aurora

A lovely place for couples, friends or families with children, set in beautiful surroundings. The food was delicious, and the management checked in with us several times to see if everything was okay. The staff were especially nice, always smiling and trying to meet our expectations, which you don't see everywhere. The beach itself is beautiful, though when the sea washes seaweed ashore it stays there. Clearing it away would improve the overall impression.

We already know we'll return to Jaz Elite Aurora. The many good reviews had set our expectations high, but our stay still surpassed them, and we left with memories we'll hold onto for a long time. We felt welcome from arrival, with a warm, family-like atmosphere and staff who were sincerely kind and attentive. It often seemed like they anticipated what we needed. The organized outings with the animation team became favorite memories, and felt like trips with friends. The team was attentive and friendly without being in your face. Since it was rainy season and the hotel was quieter, guests and staff formed a special bond, making the resort feel relaxed and peaceful, like a big family. Devesh was a particularly energetic and helpful host who was around without intruding, and the excursion we took with him was a highlight. General Manager Domenico's warm, caring nature clearly shapes the resort. He cares deeply about guest satisfaction. We also enjoyed the Mix & Mingle evening at the Breeze Restaurant on the jetty, sharing dinner and drinks with guests and staff over the water. A birthday surprise in our room was a thoughtful touch that moved us. The hotel has modern, spacious rooms, a lovely pool area, direct beach access and a well-kept garden. Food and drinks were fresh, varied, beautifully prepared and very good. The whole team's passion and dedication are what set this place apart. Thanks to everyone who made the holiday so special. The hotel and its staff are lovely, and there's plenty for both kids and adults to do. The rooms look beautiful, but the ACs didn't work at all. Food was the big letdown: there are 3 restaurants, but they all serve the same things, and the buffet was exactly the same at breakfast, lunch and dinner. This place has so much potential if the food and room ACs improve. The management and staff were very nice, and the head chefs went out of their way to make my son a lactose-free, nut-free dessert. Thanks for that!

We have stayed at this hotel chain in other places before, so we trusted them with a newly opened property, and Jaz Elite Aurora far exceeded our expectations. Flying more than 10 hours to Zanzibar was worth it. The hotel felt magical, almost unreal, from the start. The people are what make it special. We travel a lot, but haven't had this kind of genuine closeness with the staff and management before. You can feel their care and dedication in every detail. General Manager Domenico deserves special thanks. He is present every day, talks with guests, listens and genuinely cares. He helped us find the best experiences both inside and beyond the resort, including beautiful, authentic things to do in Zanzibar. We felt looked after without pressure or being overwhelmed. His leadership helps create a community where guests and staff connect in an atmosphere of trust, joy and relaxation. We also formed a real connection with Iddy and Elizabeth (Lizzy) from the main bar, and Fredy, Hussein and Suleiman from the adult pool. Thank you for your kindness and energy. The resort is brand new, beautifully designed, and has elegant, spacious, comfortable rooms. We enjoyed the restaurants and bars, especially the excellent à la carte options we visited a couple of times, which are also available at lunch. There was outstanding seafood, fruit, great pizza and excellent cocktails made with original spirits, including an unforgettable Negroni Sbagliato. There are several pools, so everyone can find a spot, and the adult-only pool was a big highlight for us. The resort also has a gym and two free padel courts. The layout is thoughtful, so even with many guests it feels relaxed, comfortable and open. It was our first visit to Zanzibar, and thanks to Jaz Elite Aurora it won't be our last. We'll remember this place for a long time and recommend it wholeheartedly.
