The rooms were a real highlight, spacious, clean, beautifully designed, and with great views that made it feel like a proper holiday. The location is good too, near the beach and convenient for getting around. But the service was terrible. I called three different times because the Wi-Fi wasn’t working while I was trying to join an important Zoom call. Each time they said someone would come fix it, but nobody did. It seemed like they were just telling me what I wanted to hear without following through. The food was average overall. Breakfast was decent, but lunch and dinner weren’t anything special. The beach looks nice, though high tide really takes away from it since you can’t enjoy it for most of the day.

We’ve just come back from a brilliant 10-day all-inclusive stay at Shukran Palace. The hotel is beautiful, right by a great beach, with excellent pools and one of the best rooms I’ve stayed in anywhere. The room quality, cleanliness, and service from the dedicated team were fantastic. Special thanks to Lillian at reception and trips, Chef Suneel and his team for excellent food that changed each day, Reena, Ezekiel on service, and bar staff Stephen, Benson, Samba, and James.

Shukran Palace was one of our best choices in recent years. It’s a lovely hotel at the end of Pingwe village, designed in an Arabic fairytale style, with comfortable rooms and good amenities. If you want private luxury, a lovely white beach, three swimming pools, and bars, it’s a great fit. The staff were always kind and helpful, and the food was delicious. Thank you, Shukran Palace!

I’d already paid in full through booking.com when the hotel contacted me closer to my dates. They said a system problem meant they had to cancel and asked me to make the booking again. When I checked those same dates, the price was about four times higher. I’d also arranged my flights and transport around the original booking. They simply sent the cancellation, with no apology. I never expected this from a hotel rated so highly and considered five-star. This feels like a scam. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. Booking.com told me to sort it out with the hotel and request a refund if I wasn’t happy. Thank you, booking.com!
