The general manager’s less welcoming manner and the lack of organization took away a little from the experience. For a hotel at this level, more visible leadership and better coordination would help guests feel more engaged. The food at Upendo Beach Boutique Hotel, though, was absolutely perfect: fresh, well prepared, and genuinely enjoyable. The waiters were charming, attentive, and professional, and the whole service team deserves praise for their warmth and dedication. With that food and staff already in place, better organization from management would make the experience stronger.

It wasn’t bad, but the experience didn’t feel worth the price. The food was decent, though nothing special or memorable, and while the prices seemed reasonable, there’s room to improve the value and make the offering more distinctive.

The setting right at the ocean’s edge is stunning, with beautiful colours that make it a photographer’s dream. Add the creative, wonderful cuisine and caring, excellent personal service, and it feels like pure magic. Highly recommended.

We had a memorable, intimate stay, with delicious, flavorful food as one of the highlights. The butlers, especially Theo and his team, took great care of us, and the staff were always ready to help with anything we needed. Our food orders were consistently on time. Housekeeping was top-notch, refreshing the room each morning and again before bed. They left a sweet treat and kind message every night. The atmosphere and service more than made up for a few small issues: some windows felt too transparent and raised privacy concerns, beachgoers passing in the evening could be a little noisy, and the curtain rods need maintenance. We had a truly lovely stay and would highly recommend it.
