For the price, I’d definitely recommend Climbers Home. It’s clean, the shower in our room was great, and breakfast was genuinely good. The location is handy too, only about 700 meters from the bus station.

We’re an American couple traveling around Africa, and this is our favorite place we’ve stayed. The rooms are comfortable and the rooftop is delightful. We highly recommend it. People who leave bad reviews are too soft to vacation in Africa.

Viktor at reception was really friendly and informative, and the rooftop has a beautiful view. I stayed for 3 nights on the 1. floor. The room was clean, but quite noisy. After every shower it took too long, over 30 min, to get hot water, so I only had cold showers during my stay.

The street outside is very, very, very noisy. Still, I was able to check in even though I arrived super early in the morning. The dorm is spacious, there’s a nice sitting area outside, and breakfast is amazing.

The location worked well for me, with Western union, Indian restaurants, a cafe, and the bus stop all within walking distance. On my second visit they let me check in a bit before the scheduled time, which I appreciated. My first night had been great. The room was quiet enough for a good sleep, and I loved the pancakes and eggs at breakfast. The second night was terrible, though. I was given room number 4 on 1st floor, and traffic noise kept me awake. It also took at least 10 minutes for the shower to run hot. The terrace restaurant didn’t have a particularly great view either.
