Kindoroko Hotel

The staff were friendly and helpful, and my room was decent and clean. It’s budget friendly and easy to find, right on Mawenzi road. They offer bed and breakfast, though I thought the breakfast menu was quite limited. Otherwise, I enjoyed my stay.

The location is great, just a few minutes’ walk from the bus station and several shops and restaurants. The rooftop bar, where breakfast is served, is stunning, and the panoramic view of Mount Kilimanjaro alone makes a stay at Kindoroko hostel worthwhile. I paid an unbeatable price. I stayed five nights. The staff were very kind and helpful, and the room had its own bathroom. Since the rooms don’t face the main street, it’s quiet. Breakfast is a very nice buffet, although on my last day they were out of some cereals and didn’t have enough bread. Wi-Fi only works up to the first floor. There were some ants in the room, but you can deal with it. Daily room service, including in the afternoon, is possible. The towels can be a bit old and look very used.

I haven’t stayed overnight, but I often come by for the amazing food. The service providers are creative and really hospitable. If you visit, you have to try their famous Zanzibar pizza, it’s an absolute delight!

The staff were excellent, always sorting out any problem quickly, and the service was good all around. There’s a rooftop where you can sit with a beer and enjoy the views. My room had hot water and a fan, and breakfast was included in the price. Breakfast wasn’t the usual Tanzanian spread of bread, egg, and sweet potato. There was cereal, bread with a toaster if you wanted it, jam, peanut butter, honey, a box of different teas and coffee sachets, and fruit. It was a very nice breakfast. At the time I wrote this, I paid 25000tzs.
