I came to Zanzibar for three months to try the digital nomad thing and booked one month here. I should have booked all three. Nungwi was the best part of the island for me, and the internet was completely reliable, even for Teams calls. The view for this price is unbeatable, and so is breakfast on the beach. The welcome, care, reception, and rooftop bar were all just as good.

The staff were so kind and went out of their way to help, even sending us daily updates about the tides and local events. The room was spotless and had a huge comfortable bed, AC, a fan, Wi-Fi, a kettle, and coffee and tea. They also refilled the bottle of safe filtered water every day. We loved the big sea-view balcony and rooftop bar. Breakfast at Mahi Mahi restaurant by the beach was delicious, and it’s less than a minute’s walk away. The location is hard to beat, with the beach just a minute away and local shops close by. We had an amazing stay and would absolutely choose this hotel again in Zanzibar.

I’m going to miss this place so much. What made our holiday one of the best was the people. Sadia did everything she could to make us feel at home, and Julia checked that we were okay even when she wasn’t on shift. I’m heading home with wonderful memories. Thanks to you both 💕

Julia and her team were fantastic, and the room was spotless. We had such a lovely stay that we’d definitely like to return. They were also incredibly helpful with transfers and did their best to meet all our needs. Highly, highly recommend.

I’ll miss Leyo most of all. He’s amazing, and Julia is a great manager who was really helpful. The room was clean, the place was nice, and the rooftop bar was lovely. Everything about this hotel was perfect for us. Thanks to everyone on the Aluna team for such a great Zanzibar experience. If I come back, I’ll stay here again.
