Mobydick Bungalow

Regina, the manager/guest relations contact, came to see us quickly and did what she could to fix the check-in problems and room issues. The shower pressure and drainage were poor, and some outlets didn't work. The staff were friendly and keen to help. We had a nice five-night stay overall. The facility is pleasant and well located, and our room was clean and mostly comfortable. The AC kept it cool enough but not cold, and the in-room WiFi was very spotty. The gym is tiny with little equipment, and the Spa is very minimal. Drinks were very good, most of the food was good, and breakfast could have been better.

The beach and landscaped grounds were lovely, and the pool and lively pool bar were great. Staff at the pool bar, reception, and housekeeping were exceptionally attentive, our room was excellent, and the activity booker gave excellent assistance. It was nice to be separated from the beach boys, though many loungers were worn out and uncomfortable. The two restaurants were the main letdown, since the food wasn't worth the high prices. The gym was small, and its elliptical, one of the few machines, was broken. We'd stay again.

From the welcome at check-in to the help with every request, the team at Turaco Nungwi Resort made us feel special throughout our ten amazing nights. Marriott Bonvoy members had a dedicated check-in area, which made for a warm, smooth arrival, and staff handled requests quickly and professionally. The restaurant team made every meal a pleasure. Thank you, Siwema, Hallima, Given, Benard, and Agnes for your warmth, smiles, and excellent service. Thanks as well to Leah, Regina, Beatrith, and the colleague who checked us in, whose name I unfortunately forgot. James Joseph, Front Office Manager, gave us a room upgrade that really improved the stay. Samar Salloum and I were in touch for almost three months before the trip, planning every detail. We never met in person, but Samar helped make it a dream vacation. It was my first time in Africa, and the team's warmth, kindness, and hospitality made it unforgettable. Thank you all.
