Panorama Ocean View

The view and the juices make the trip worthwhile. The juices were very good, though fresh fruit is abundant in Zanzibar and you can find good juice almost anywhere. The masala chips were soggy but flavorful, the bhajis were okay, and the onion rings weren't anything special.

We loved the breakfast, with its range of eggs, fresh fruit and juice, and the view while eating is probably the best in Paje. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Everything can be reached by walking along the beach, and the place itself is amazing.

I stayed at the Panorama Ocean View Hotel in Paje, Zanzibar for 10 months, and there were constant problems. Sometimes there was no water or electricity because the hotel had forgotten to buy electricity credits. There was no internet, no toilet paper, and the breakfast was bad. The staff were unfriendly, and the manager cheated guests. The hotel also broke our agreement about guest costs and raised them without our agreement. On top of that, nearby construction work was noisy.

The hotel sits toward the end of the Paje strip, within walking distance of places like B4 and Mr. Kahaua. It's slightly elevated, so you get lovely views of the beach and kitesurfers. The setting is peaceful, and the rooms are clean, simply designed and authentic, with spectacular ocean views. Mousa and Andrew were especially friendly and ready to help. Breakfast came with some of the tastiest fruit, sourced from local markets. The restaurant also has a great ocean view and serves well-prepared dinners. I'd especially recommend the wraps for a quick snack.
