The place felt clean and welcoming, and everyone was respectful. A big thank you to all the staff for making us feel at ease, especially Matej, who was kind, hospitable, and full of helpful tips for getting around and making the most of the stay. You're just 10 seconds from the beach, and the atmosphere is relaxed while still having a fun bar feel, with good music and lovely encounters. It was an unforgettable visit, and I'd highly recommend it! 🌊✨

There are loads of comfortable shared spaces and lounges, set among sand and greenery, and the private bungalows are spacious and comfortable. The beach is only a stone's throw away, and the Paje location is handy. Food, drinks, and accommodation are all fairly priced. The bar and food are great, too. What makes Your Zanzibar Place special is its laid-back, social feel. There aren't set activities, but it attracts friendly, easygoing travelers, and the owners and staff are wonderful. It isn't a fancy, westernized party hostel like the ones all over Southeast Asia. It's a relaxed, friendly beach hostel with a great vibe for travelers and backpackers from all backgrounds. We loved our stay and made some great friends. There's also an adorable hostel cat named Minouche (sp?) who I still think about often.

The beach is an easy short walk away, and I felt very welcome during my stay at Your Zanzibar Place Hostel. Everything was clean, including the rooms and shared areas. The food was tasty, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I'd happily stay again and recommend it to others.

I came for 3-4 nights and stayed more than two weeks. The place won me over as soon as I walked in. Cecilia, Babu, Makalele, and all the staff were so helpful every day. The food tasted great and was well priced, especially the Balkan-style family dinner held twice a week. The music was good and always changing. The location is unreal, just 50 steps to the beach and a 3-4 minute walk to the main road and all the amenities. Asanta Sana, thank you to everyone. See you again very soon!

It feels clean, cozy, relaxed, and like home, though it's not luxury. There are different kinds of accommodation at very fair prices, and the food is delicious with plenty of choice. The staff are warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. I had great service, lots of fun, and met wonderful people from around the world. Your Zanzibar Place has an unforgettable atmosphere, and I'd recommend it to anyone who cares more about good vibes, socializing, and memorable experiences than fancy buildings.
