The water is pristine, and the lagoon is great for snorkeling and seeing marine life. This Lagoon Hotels property is a real gem. The hotel is eco-friendly, with spacious rooms that mix local character and Western style, and the service feels personal and attentive. And the food and cocktails are wonderful. 👌👌👌👌

What makes Fundu Lagoon special is the team. From arrival, we felt welcome and well looked after by people who clearly take pride in their work and support one another. The lodge itself is tucked into greenery beside clear turquoise water, with a secluded, peaceful feel and nature all around. We had a perfect stay on Pemba Island and would happily give it five stars. We especially appreciated the staff. Kessy, the Assistant Manager, gave us such a warm welcome. Marchella, the Manager, kept everything organized and led the team brilliantly, while making an effort to meet each guest’s wishes. Hassan and his kitchen team served what was simply the best food in Tanzania, and Genia made excellent cocktails with a smile. Salom was kind, cheerful, and service-minded. At reception, Kassin was helpful, organized, and greeted us warmly every day. Buanga and Dudu were friendly, attentive waiters, and Imu was already doing a fantastic job as an apprentice. Elias was a pleasure to talk with and helped us feel safe. Breakfast was a treat thanks to Khalad and Asha, who made the best eggs and fresh fruit juices. We also enjoyed snorkeling with Amdi, who spotted tiny fish and even dolphins, and felt in good hands with Kassin? [sic] I should preserve source? Wait names only. let's ensure no invented. Diving with Bacari showed both strong skills and real care for reef conservation. Consider setting aside extra money to support the reef protection work, which seems to be in very good hands. Ask to see the Octopus „Mr. Benjamin“ while you’re there. Kibega handled the boat carefully and professionally. The whole place, and especially the people, made our stay unforgettable. We felt valued and cared for throughout, and we’ll certainly return. I wholeheartedly recommend Fundu Lagoon to anyone looking for a unique trip. Thanks to the whole team. Fundu was paradise for our honeymoon. The setting was incredible, and the staff were wonderful. Even the boat transfer made it feel like we’d gone back in time. We loved every minute and miss everyone there already. Thanks for the best trip, we can’t wait to come back.

We only stayed two nights and wished we’d had more time. The peaceful atmosphere left us feeling completely recharged, and the lush greenery made it feel like a hidden paradise. The food was delicious, and the hotel’s whole concept is thoughtfully put together and inspiring. We can’t wait to return next year.
