It was fun looking for tracks left by nighttime visitors in the morning. One evening the staff knew where some lions were resting and drove us over to see them. The tents were nicely furnished, with hot showers, and they could accommodate gluten-free needs and families. We had a great stay at Nyikani, with lovely staff and excellent food.

The meals were really good and varied for a camp kitchen. We stayed two nights at the Tarangire NP camp and three at the Serangeti NP camp during our Tanzania safari, and the staff at both welcomed us warmly and took great care of us. The tents were very nice and comfortable for camping, with showers, toilets, and a huge, comfortable bed. We were lucky enough to have elephants walk past our tent at night. We had a wonderful, exciting stay and can only recommend the experience.

The rooms were nicely done, and the breakfasts and box lunches were good. The other food was quite average, though. Of the five places we stayed on our Africa trip, this one fell a bit short. For some reason, we didn't get the same sense of camaraderie with the staff or other guests that we found elsewhere.

The all-inclusive stay worked really well for us, and I highly recommend it. Chaz explained the camp expectations and safety guidelines clearly. I was there with my two teenage sons, and the camp had a lovely mix of simplicity and elegance. The staff were friendly, the food delicious, and the tents very clean. I liked being encouraged to let go and be present in the Serengeti. Wifi was only in the main tent, which worked out well: my older son could use his phone there, but needing an escort back to our tent naturally limited his screen time. We saw elephants, zebras, giraffes, countless beautiful birds, hyenas, and a leopard several times right outside camp. Falling asleep to the animals calling to one another, lions, leopards, zebra, and hyena, was a treat. Chaz ran an efficient camp and kitchen, while Eric and Humphrey made us feel at home and well cared for. On a night tour with James, Walter, and Ruben, we saw genets, owls, elephants, foxes, and even a serval. We watched it hunt, then cross the road right in front of our vehicle. We loved the whole experience.

We stayed one night in January 2024. The setting is fantastic and the facilities are very comfortable, with extremely customer-focused service. Tarangire Park has so much scenery and wildlife to take in, and the camp is a welcome place to unwind after a tiring safari day. I'd suggest staying two nights.
