There are so many little details in the plants and flowers, and plenty of shaded seating. You can stroll along the river or just sit there for hours. The setting has a lush stream, old twisted trees, monkeys, and birds, and feels like a place from another world. The all-you-can-eat buffet, served on one plate, is healthy, tasty, and moderately priced. There's also a market selling things like beef jerky, honey, and carvings. A meeting place for expats. I even named a song after it.

We arrived early in the morning after an overnight flight, and the driver was already waiting at the airport. Everyone working at Rivertrees was incredibly kind and accommodating, and the hospitality was unmatched. Our beautiful room had monkeys all around us. The meals were amazing, and they accommodated my dietary restrictions. Tanzanian wine was a treat as well. It's a little slice of paradise, and I wish we'd stayed longer. A perfect place to stay before or after a safari from Arusha.

I wish I’d bought something from the little gift shop. It turned out to have the best selection of all the places we stayed. Rivertrees was the first place we visited in Tanzania, and we loved it. The rooms were beautifully appointed, including the connecting rooms we had with our girls. The grounds were lovely, the food and drinks delicious, and service was great from reception through to the restaurant.
