I came for an open-ended stay rather than just a couple of days, so comfort and amenities matter a lot to me. The hotel is right in the city center, near the market, Akkerman Fortress, the train station, and various cafes. The staff were very friendly, and the cleaning fully satisfied us. The Wi-Fi was poor, the bed uncomfortable, and there was no fridge or kettle, but those problems were sorted out within 1-2 days. We now have a new, comfortable bed, as well as new bedside tables and chairs 🤌. I gave the hotel five stars for comfort.

The price feels far too high for these conditions. The room itself was clean and quiet, and the location was convenient, but the air conditioner had mold, so we didn’t use it even though it was very hot. There was mildew in the shower stall, too. The blinds were missing tape, which meant the morning sun shone straight into the eyes of anyone lying in the bed by the window. You also have to ring the bell every time you want to enter the courtyard. That gets annoying, and a magnetic intercom key would be more convenient.

The staff were friendly, and the place was clean. There’s a little parking area in the courtyard, and a pizzeria nearby. The room had clean linens, a refrigerator, TV, air conditioning, hot water, and clothes hangers. They accept cashless payment. There’s no breakfast, the floors creak, and the soundproofing isn’t good, but overall it was ok.

The hotel is cozy and has the basics covered. I used the iron, watched TV, and turned on the air conditioning, and the shower was clean and well looked after. But the floor in room (3) creaks terribly right in the middle, and there’s no way around it. It was uncomfortable. Booking was a hassle, too. I’d booked a double room with one double bed for 550 UAH, then called the day before check-in to say another person would be staying with me. Since the room was already for two, I was told there’d be an extra 50 UAH. Later, the woman on the phone said she couldn’t find my reservation, even though I’d checked and it was confirmed, and offered a double room with two beds for 630 UAH instead. I agreed because I needed a place to stay. But when we arrived, my guest and I were put in the room I’d booked for 550 UAH after all. I count that confusion as a drawback. The staff should handle reservations carefully and avoid bothering guests.
