We had an unexpected stopover, but there are nicer rooms available for less money. They first put us in a room that wasn't the one we booked, and the sauna wasn't working despite being advertised. The water pressure was weak and it never got hot. The internet was also a problem, and the grounds were dirty and neglected. The room itself was filthy. Towels, kettle, fridge, dishes, and toilet were all dirty and in such bad shape that I was afraid to touch them. There were unwashed dishes left out in the kitchen, used napkins under the bed, lots of dust, and someone else's hair on the bedding, which didn't look like it had been changed. A clump of hair was even hanging from the router on the bedside table. The listing promised daily cleaning, but nobody came. They also provided rubber slippers that clearly weren't disposable or sanitized between guests.

We didn't get the room we booked, as my husband already mentioned in his review, and there was no air conditioning even though Google Maps says all rooms have it. The woman at reception also asked us to write down her number and call her next time instead of booking through Booking.com. Thanks, and I hope we never end up here again.

The room conditions were excellent, apart from the TV: it couldn't be used because it needed two sockets and there was only one where it stood. We were also caught off guard when they told us three-bed rooms cost extra. The service was the problem. The older woman at reception kept coming to the room and telling us to go to bed, so we couldn't relax. If the service had been better, I'd have given four stars.

The room we were offered didn't match the photo, though it was basically okay. We booked a double bed but were told we'd get two singles, and the TV didn't work. In the kitchen there was a kettle, microwave, and electric stove, but the microwave was completely covered, so you could only reheat food, not cook. There was hand soap instead of dish soap, a torn shower curtain, one shampoo packet, and less than half a roll of toilet paper. On our second morning, the hostess came at 6 am and switched off the fridge, then complained that we'd bought too much food and water was leaking from it, as though we hadn't closed it properly. While we were getting ready to leave, she kept asking when we'd go because she needed to close the house during an air alarm. The hot water seemed to depend on her mood, too. The day before, when we were heading out, she oddly asked if we'd be coming back, even though we'd booked two nights. It was a poor choice for our two-day stay on the outskirts of Chernivtsi. At check-in, the woman at what passed for reception said the price had gone up by 200 UAH, although Booking still showed 800 UAH and her handwritten visitor log showed that same price. I refused to pay more and felt her displeasure, but she eventually gave my husband and me the listed rate. Maybe she thought she could get more money from a young woman booking alone. I wouldn't recommend staying here. The people seem far removed from the hotel business, even though the place has potential.
