Baza Smart Hotel

I loved the place and would stay again. There’s plenty of room in the lobby and restaurant to spend time with friends, including by the fireplace. The location is great, the breakfast and other food are good, and the service is excellent. You can hear practically everything from neighboring rooms and the hallway, though, so the rooms have very little sound insulation. The hotel also brings in its water, so use it thoughtfully, and be prepared for weak water pressure.

The loft-style atmosphere and thoughtful little touches helped me enjoy my stay. There’s a cozy fireplace in the big hall, board games and a PS5, a spot to charge your phone, and a rubber mat for wet shoes. The underground ski equipment station is handy too. The rooms are on the small side, and the sauna, SPA, and pool were still being built, but it’s a cozy place with a distinctive modern feel.

The location is hard to beat, just two minutes from ski lift №1. Breakfast was a very nice buffet with plenty of options, from cereal, eggs, meat, vegetables, grains and fruit to coffee, tea and uzvar. There’s a ski room and a lift, and the lobby has a PS and board games by the fireplace. We visited in mid December while construction was still going on. One staff member seemed unfriendly, and greeting guests or showing them around appeared to be a chore. Room maintenance was about 3/5: the locker locks worked only some of the time, and ventilation was poor. Of the three showers, one didn’t work, another had no shower gel in the dispenser, and the third drained slowly. One toilet was also out of toilet paper.

The first floor has a restaurant, bar, and lounge, and there were lots of young people around. If you’re into parties, you can have some fun there too. Breakfast had loads of really tasty dishes, enough to eat more than usual 😁😃. Greatest hostel ever.
