The owner was gentle, and it was a nice place to stay. There wasn't quite enough space.

We loved the laid-back, lived-in feel here. It has the sort of authentic Carpathian character that comes through in everyday details, like the woodwork, stove, and cots, rather than a theme made for visitors. The hosts were friendly, the yard was large, and there are mountains around and a river nearby. We’d gladly stay again when we're in Tatariv. There’s a spacious kitchen with everything we needed, plus a lovely view. The place is a little removed from the center, so it’s 800 meters or more to a shop or restaurant, though it didn’t bother us. It’s also slightly off the main tourist routes, but still close to the road and the main locations. The shower is small and some furniture is old, but we barely noticed those things in such a relaxing place. It really felt like visiting your grandmother on a farm as a child.

We first came to the Carpathians in 2018 and picked Galina and Mykola's place almost by chance. We drove past Vorokhta, remembered a pretty spot between the mountains, turned back, and found the manor on our second try. After more trips since then, I still feel we were incredibly lucky to have landed there. The setting is quiet and peaceful, with a river and swimming spot on one side and a forest with mushrooms on the other. It’s handy with or without a car, not far from the center of Vorokhta, where there’s a railway station and excursions depart. Tatariv and Vorokhta are well placed for visiting many interesting locations, especially if you have your own car, and the roads are good. We were there on a family holiday. The rooms and furnishings are a bit rustic rather than hotel-like, and the bathroom is small. The hosts were planning redevelopment and renovation for the following year. Even so, it didn’t detract from the cozy, homey atmosphere. Galina and Mykola are kind, decent, open people, and the guests we crossed paths with were much the same. If you stay, ask Galina to make chanakhi and buy her herbal zbiz (tea).

We paid 295 UAH/night for a pretty typical house. I’d check the breakfast price beforehand, though. In my opinion, 200 UAH for varenyky is too much.

The hosts were so welcoming. A quiet, peaceful, warm place with a lovely atmosphere.
