The apartment was okay, and that’s about the only good thing I can say about this place. Check-in problems got the vacation off to a bad start, and the sauna and vat weren’t as relaxing as I’d hoped. My friends and the Carpathians made the trip enjoyable in the end. If you’ve got good company to travel with, you could stay here, but only with that in mind.

We were staying nearby and ate lunch at the Parliament villa restaurant. For 300 UAH per adult and 200 UAH per child, the buffet was filling and really tasty. There was soup, either meatball soup or borscht, plus a few choices for the main course: potatoes, porridge, salad with cabbage or pickles, and two kinds of meat. Drinks included tea, compote, and another one that tasted like chicory. At Brooklyn nearby, a serving of borscht alone costs 260 UAH, without bread.

I only went to the restaurant, not the hotel. It’s small and has a pleasant atmosphere without the crush of a crowd. The menu isn’t big, but each dish feels carefully prepared, and the portions are huge. I also heard they do a buffet breakfast for just 200 UAH, even during the Christmas period. Huge thanks to chef Igor, who does everything himself and clearly puts his heart into it!

The room was clean, the bed linens were fresh, and the mattress was comfortable. The rooms are a little dated, though, and drafts made it chilly despite the warm radiators. Breakfast was the highlight: a tasty buffet with lots of choices.
