The yard was a mess, and getting there was difficult because there’s no road. We weren’t expecting luxury at that price, but the place should at least have been cleaned before guests arrived. The floor was dirty, there was dust on the furniture, the house smelled of animal urine, and the bed linen had a terrible stench. We were there in October, and it was quite cool. They put the heating on in the evening, but by night the radiators were cold again. As soon as we walked in, I wanted to turn around and leave, but it was 10 p.m. and the children wanted to sleep. A month after our stay, the owner contacted us claiming we hadn’t paid the full amount, even though we paid what Booking showed. The man who took the payment had quoted that same amount too. Of course, nobody gives receipts. I hadn’t wanted to write a review, but that kind of nerve was the last straw. Just look elsewhere. Don’t go to this homeless shelter.

They took prepayment after attracting us with low prices, then made us leave the hotel without returning our money. The owners always found some reason to push us out, like not helping in the garden or not cutting firewood for winter. We did work in the garden and forest, and went to get firewood. Then we sawed it, but they kept demanding more. When we asked what we were paying for if we were doing all the work ourselves, they kicked us out within two hours. This so-called hotel is really just a private house in a remote village, with no police station, shop, or transport nearby. Beware of scammers.

We arrived with only 30 minutes' notice, late in the day, and the hosts still welcomed us warmly and prepared tasty meals. They’re a lovely, hospitable couple, and we felt like royalty. The three-floor house is spacious, bright, and comfortable, with all the amenities and fast, working WiFi, contrary to Takase's review. It’s in a beautiful, ecologically clean natural setting, and makes for a wonderful countryside break. The host is setting up a billiard room too, so we can’t wait to visit again and see it.

The heating and hot water in our rooms were off, despite being assured the place would be warm when we booked for one day. When we asked, they said they’d turn them on in the evening 🙄. The kitchen was a complete mess too. It felt like nobody was expecting tourists, and the rooms hadn’t been prepared for a comfortable stay. We didn’t like the neglected courtyard or the disorder inside the building, and we regretted choosing this place after reading several good reviews. It was already cool outside on 10/15/2021, so we left and continued on to Khmilnyk. I don’t understand where the positive reviews come from. If you need somewhere for the night while traveling, it’s better to go on to Khmilnyk. For a few days in the village, I think there are much better places where the owners look after guests and keep things clean and orderly.
