Tsunami Spa Hotel

We ended up staying for 10 hours and still didn’t feel ready to leave. There’s a wide range of pools and saunas to keep you occupied all day, plus a kids’ playroom with climbing and Lego while parents take a bath or get a massage. The restaurant’s menu is limited and the prices are high. You can also find rooms for sleeping or listening to relaxing music. It’s a nice place to unwind, forget your stress, and focus on your health. I’d recommend it for a family visit or whenever you need that kind of break.

The spa is the real highlight for me: lots of different rooms, saunas and pools, along with plenty of massage and body and facial treatments to choose from. The service was awesome, and the hotel was great too. I’d rate it 10/10, definitely among the best spas in Ukraine.

I’d come back, now that I know what to expect, but this hotel may fall short of what its high Dnipro ratings suggest. The rooms are large, with high ceilings and everything you need, and the staff were very nice and professional. The spa is magical, with everything you might want, and it was included in the room price. At first glance, things match the description, but small maintenance problems show up, like a slightly wobbly chair and a barely noticeable tear in the couch. I had to remind them a couple of times to clean the room and replace the towels, which felt odd for a four-star hotel, and I had to ask specifically for the minibar to be refilled. There’s hardly a reception area and only one small elevator. Street-facing rooms get some noise from the trams outside. There’s also a frozen construction project at the hotel that spoils the impression.

The restaurant was a pleasant surprise. The food was well prepared, with a good selection, and even the least successful dish I tried was just okay. I especially liked the simple mushroom soup. The catch is the wait: depending on your order and how busy the kitchen is, food can take from 10 minutes to almost two hours. Room service is available, or you could try a nearby restaurant if you don’t want to wait. The hotel rooms are spacious, air-conditioned and simply but elegantly furnished, with all sorts of amenities supplied, so you don’t need to pack things like toiletries or a sewing kit unless you prefer particular brands. The spa is very well equipped, with sitting and lying saunas, pools at different temperatures, a salt room said to have health benefits, and experienced masseuses offering a broad range of treatments. I didn’t use the gym. I had an exceptional stay and would happily recommend it for relaxing after work on a business trip, as I did, or for a holiday retreat.
