Cottage Ozerniy

The neighbors were so welcoming, treating us to homemade milk and eggs. The house itself was cozy and had everything for a comfortable stay: clean, warm, hot water, and all the dishes we needed. The views of Hoverla and Petros were beautiful. Nearby there’s a pool, a mountain river where you can fish for trout, and a mountain cafe with incredible Bograch and liqueurs. We’ll come back again and again.

The access road was the main headache. There’s a short stretch of really rough road, a crossing you have to climb over, and then a steep hill up to the house. Still, you only make that drive once each way, and a driver can take you to Bukovel for 400-500 hryvnia. The simple interior is made up for by the friendly hostess, who cooks tasty but uncomplicated breakfasts and dinners. There’s a banya nearby where you can order good shashlik at a reasonable price, and the window view is nice.

The cottage is close to the railway, track 1, but the train passes only twice a day and is barely noticeable thanks to the good soundproofing. The village is beautiful, with four shops, and a forest starts right by the cottage. There’s a well-worn path where you can walk for hours and take in lovely views. The location is excellent and the price very reasonable. Olena, who looks after the house and cooks, is a really pleasant and friendly woman. The house is clean and cozy, with a nice bathroom. If you ask, Olena can sell homemade milk, cheese, wine, and eggs at fair prices.

A comfortable, pleasant place with a nice yard and a good view. There are four bedrooms, two on each floor, plus two showers and two toilets. The kitchen has everything you need, and you can order meals too.
