Hotel "O'Shale"

We stayed with our child in September 2023. The staff were polite and friendly. They picked us up at the train station, suggested a tour company for excursions, and helped us find cafes. Our room was modern, clean, and looked after. It had toiletries, a hairdryer, smart TV, Wi-Fi, and a comfortable bed. There was no refrigerator, but they'd told us that when we booked. We also enjoyed the warm, clean pool and barbecue relaxation area. The one downside was the soundproofing. Thanks to the hosts for the stay. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

We stayed during the off-season, when the cafe was closed and the pool wasn't heated until December. The location more than made up for that: right by the Prut River and practically in the center of Yaremche. Our standard room was spacious, and the staff, with manager Sergey leading them, were wonderful and quick to respond to every request. They're planning to add a hot tub, which should make it fantastic.

There was a sewage smell in the rooms, and we only had 2 towels for three children. The bedding was in terrible shape: the sheets were washed but covered in pills. One sheet was too small for the double bed, leaving one child on a bare mattress. We asked reception for another sheet on Saturday and got a lot of negativity. They said the maid wouldn't be back until Monday, so we had to make a fuss to get one. Rather than apologize, they blamed us for putting the children in that bed and made no effort to hide their dissatisfaction. The children were also given a plain blanket with no duvet cover, so who knows how many people had used it before them. The hotel was occupied by children who had come to attend a meeting. I don't think I'll use this hotel's services again.

We arrived late, and the staff were friendly even after midnight and explained how to find our way. It was a shame the restaurant had already closed, though that's not really a fault, since not everyone wants noise at that hour. The complex sits beside a fast-flowing mountain river. Its sound, the fresh air, and the incredible view made it easy to forget everything for a while. The grounds are large and well kept. Rooms are spacious and modern, with tasteful decor, and the bathroom is quite large too. That's a lovely extra, especially for the price. We definitely want to return and rent a house with a fireplace.
