The building has a lot going for it if you're using it as a base for excursions: it's right in the center, the staff are helpful, and there's a kitchen with utensils, plus a barbecue and gazebo. The owners seem to be improving things, with nice interiors and new doors, beds, plumbing and Wi-Fi. Still, it's an old wooden building, and the floors creak. It's not quite at the standard it should be yet. Also, a booked room may not actually be available even after you've paid a deposit, in which case they'll offer you a replacement. So, probably yes, depending on what you need.

The shower cabin was falling apart, and its door wouldn't stay in place. The room was dirty, with dust across the surfaces and hair from previous guests on the carpet. You can hear every bang and sneeze from next door, and there's a constant smell of sewage and an old building. The location in the center is the only plus. If you can, stay somewhere else.

The only practical thing about this place is that it's right by the train station. Inside, the room felt untidy, and we slept in a dirty bed. The furniture was old, there were clumps of hair in the carpets, and the dated shower was covered in tape and mold. The shared kitchen was just a table, two chairs and a wall unit that looked like it came from the 1980s. I don't recommend it.

The receptionist was helpful, and there's parking plus a gazebo behind the hotel with a barbecue and firewood, where you can grill and enjoy the surroundings. We stayed five days. It's conveniently located 30 km from Bukovel, with plenty of lovely spots nearby. Hot water can run short because each floor has two 80-liter boilers, so sometimes you have to wait. The large rooms also get chilly when it's below -10°C. The furniture and wall finishes look like they're from the USSR, but it's fine if you only need a place to sleep.
