Roman was especially cultured, decent, and responsive. We need more hosts like him. The house was cozy, warm, and comfortable, with spotless cleanliness and beautiful mountain views. The bathhouse and sauna were 100 out of 100. It’s perfectly located, with everything you need, and even things you don’t, close by. This is a place we’d happily return to.

The weak internet was the one drawback, which could matter if you need to stay connected on vacation. Otherwise, this separate two-storey guest house has a lot going for it. There’s plenty of parking, and the location works well for walks. The hosts are helpful without hovering. Outside, there’s a barbecue with firewood supplied by the owners, a seating spot, a children’s playground, plus a sauna and pool for 500 UAH for two hours. The ground floor has a kitchen and dining space with the utensils you need. Upstairs are three separate rooms, each with a bathroom, mini-fridge, TV, and a comfortable bed. Only one room has its own balcony, and there’s also a shared terrace with a table and four chairs overlooking Elephant Rock. Highly recommended.

That balcony view is lovely, with mountains in the daytime and stars at night. The house and room were spotless, and they had the stove and kitchen utensils we needed. The hosts were great and let us arrive at 7 a.m. without charging extra. I only wish the bedding had been made from more comfortable natural fabric. The synthetic sheets gave me little electric shocks.

We celebrated my birthday with shashlik under the covered barbecue, even though it was raining. There’s plenty for kids too, including swings and a sandbox, plus benches and an outdoor exercise machine. It’s only about 10 minutes from the city center, and the rooms were clean. We also had a balcony, kitchen, and sauna. The hosts are friendly, and their dog is great.
