Hop Home Hostel

The kitchen was in bad shape: dirty, cramped, and short on dishes. The bathroom had some odd, rude posters, though the toilet and shower worked. My room was basic but fine for sleeping, and everything felt cheap and cheerful at pretty average prices. The woman managing the place was perfectly normal, helpful when she could be, and easy to talk to about any issue.

The mattress was so uncomfortable I couldn't sleep, and the room was tiny with no windows. There were stains on the walls, most of the outlets didn't work, and even though there was a hairdryer, it was broken. I only stayed overnight because I couldn't bear being there longer, especially in the evenings, when some "interesting" people gathered and it felt scary to leave the room. The aquarium in the hall looked awful, and I felt sorry for the fish. I understand the situation, but picking on my Google username was odd. Yes, I stayed with my boyfriend, but another option would've been better. I'm not sure whether you recognized me, especially since the photo here shows me with glasses and a mask, and I don't know how you'd remember me.

On September 3, 2019, I posted an unflattering review of "hop home" because of a mix-up over the phone number. It actually belonged to STATION HOSTEL, whose service really was terrible. I sincerely apologize to the staff and owners of "hop home" and thank them for their excellent service. Sincerely.

The place has a cozy feel, with an aquarium, pictures on the walls, and drinking water dispensers. It’s close to the train station, the prices are good, and the shower has hot water, which mattered a lot after my unpleasant experience in Kyiv. The staff were great and everything was clean. My only complaint is that there are no windows.
