The staff are amazing, and the place was nice and comfortable. I loved it.

The front door is opened by the receptionist, who is on duty all the time, and residents can come and go 24/7. That made me feel nobody else could get in. Each room has a locker, and the shower room has a toilet, shower, and sink together, which is convenient. Hot water is always available, and there's a washing machine for 20 UAH a load, plus an iron and ironing board. I also liked meeting many foreigners there, so you can practice languages if you speak them. The kitchen has dishes, a kettle, stove, and refrigerator, and there's a separate lounge where you can talk or relax. Reception and the lounge are in separate rooms, and the window has a lovely view over Kharkiv. Central Market metro station is nearby, four minibus stops away, with the stop not far from the house. This isn't my first hostel in Kharkiv, but I was very pleased with this one. The receptionist welcomed me warmly, showed me around, and gave useful advice. The rooms are clean and cared for. The renovation isn't the newest, but the hostel is spotless, and the price feels fair for the quality. If you want to feel part of a big family while staying here, this place is for you. ❤️

My girlfriend, our child, and I needed somewhere to stay for the night in Kharkiv, and they gave us a separate room. We slept well and headed home refreshed in the morning. The kitchen and room were clean, and there was everything we needed to make a quick meal. The price was reasonable, and the administrator was helpful. I'd recommend the hostel.

I wouldn't recommend this place. I booked a private room, but when I arrived, they said there were none and tried to put me in a shared room. I later found out I wasn't the only one this happened to: people book private rooms, then get offered a bunk because the owner says by phone that rooms are available when they aren't. I spent two days in the shared room before getting the room I'd reserved. The shared rooms are small, stuffy, and smelly. The fan and little window barely help. Food regularly disappeared from the kitchen fridge, so I ended up eating and keeping mine in my room. Only one burner in the kitchen worked, which made a healthy diet out of the question. There are no lockers for valuables, and staff say they aren't financially responsible for guests' belongings. I was so worried about theft that I slept holding my bag. In the bathroom, the shower, toilet, and sink are all in one room. The administrator may watch closely and tell you what to wear when you shower, which felt like spying and was very unpleasant. At least there weren't long lines, for obvious reasons. Once I finally got a private room, I could lock it and relax a little. It was clean, fresh, and cozy. They charged extra for bed linen, which wasn't included in the rent. The prices also differed from the online listing: I paid 200 UAH a day for the whole room, although the listed price was 100 UAH. My boyfriend was charged 100 UAH per night to stay with me even though I'd paid for the room for 10 days. Before me, a woman and her daughter had paid 200 UAH a night for it. Make of that what you will. I had paid for the tenth day but was asked to leave that morning. Staff could also be rude and impolite, more like a dorm superintendent dealing with students than an administration treating customers. The metro isn't too far, and the bus stop is just steps away.
