Hotel Meduza

The address listed for the hotel is wrong, and the room we were given at check-in wasn’t the one we had booked. The interior looks decent, but the rooms were very dirty. The bed was dirty too, despite disposable slippers being provided. In the bathroom, the faucet was rusty and the shower had mold and scale. The TV picture was poor and its remote didn’t work. There was air conditioning but no remote for it. Soundproofing was awful, and everything in the corridor could be heard. You have to pay extra for the sauna and pool. The staff looked drunk. Administrators would knock and then come straight into the room. The rudeness was unbelievable. I could say more, but this should be enough for people to understand what kind of hotel it is.

Good afternoon. I don’t recommend this place for a family stay. We were there on 11/21/2025 after booking a room through booking, but the reception had no record of it. The hotel door didn’t close, and the administrator at reception seemed drunk and was with other people I didn’t recognize. The administrator should have been presentable, but wasn’t. Communication was poor. There was no card terminal, and they kept making excuses about the lack of a connection. The listing said the room came with pool access, but that wasn’t true for the 1500 UAH room. The pool cost another 1500 UAH. The interior was decent, but on the way to our room, the woman with the keys opened a room that was already occupied, then just said “oh” and closed it, without apologizing. Nobody seemed to know which rooms were occupied or free. We eventually got to our two-story room. For that price there were no bathrobes, disposable slippers, or anything else. A cockroach was running around the toilet, and the shower had mold. Connecting to Wi-Fi was a whole quest, especially on the TV. We didn’t even stay a day. After a couple of hours, we left because of the cockroaches. The administrator said that couldn’t be true and claimed they’d never heard of any. Book ahead, but be prepared to arrive and find there’s no reservation after all. The service was terrible, and I really don’t recommend it.

The curtains were thick enough to block the light, which was about the only thing I could point to as a plus. The TV picture was awful, and the Wi-Fi seemed to exist but was basically unusable. The cleaners also talked loudly in the corridor while working. There were no disposable slippers or kettle. A kettle I could have managed without, but the bathroom had stone buildup everywhere, and the rooms had mold. Surely there are products that can remove that if it's cleaned properly? The chicken Caesar salad was disappointing too: the chicken was tough and the salad didn't seem fresh. I felt so unwell afterward that I had to take medicine. Smoking and drinking aren't allowed, which is fine, but it seemed regular guests got exceptions. At 6 in the morning I had to call reception to wake them because a regular guest was shouting that he was sick. He quieted down after the call, then around 8 a receptionist came to his room and told him people had complained about his shouting. I can't think of much else good to say. I definitely wouldn't stay here again.

The sauna, jacuzzi, and pool were all lovely, clean, and had a great atmosphere. As always, everything was great. Thanks so much for the clean room and the warm, understanding service, especially for letting us change the time without any trouble.
