The rooms are great and the hotel is right in the city center, but the service was awful. If you don’t speak Russian, I wouldn’t even try staying here. Ukrainian isn’t available, and the hotel’s information is all in Russian and English. The staff’s English and Ukrainian are very limited, which led to a lot of uncomfortable situations, and guests were spoken to in a rather superior way. We also couldn’t get through to reception in the evening. The linens were dirty, and the bathrobes were very poor quality. It’s one of the Kharkiv hotels currently available to book.

The room was nice, the bed was comfortable, and the location was great. The towels were yellow instead of white, though, and the cups were dirty. The hotel charged me for chocolate from the minibar that wasn’t even there when I checked in.

The hotel itself isn’t operating, but its restaurant is open, with a terrace upstairs. I had scrambled eggs and a white chocolate cake, and both were delicious.

The deluxe apartment made for a great stay. The one big annoyance was the air conditioner: it runs for a second, then goes quiet for what feels like forever. Please get it fixed.
