The restaurant also raised serious concerns for me: it seemed like a mess, and I saw no sign of medical certificates or professional skills among the staff. I also wonder whether managers will face questions from the State Labor Service, since nobody appears to be officially employed. Power cuts happen constantly. Guests are told the generator is being repaired, but I believe that explanation is a lie, and staff are instructed to repeat it. There are frequent water outages too, sometimes with no water at all, and guests don't get their money back. With no generator, the internet doesn't work during outages, mobile reception is poor, and heating can be lacking for long stretches. If you arrive without electricity or after midnight, be prepared for that. I also found the staff's conduct troubling. Administrators sleep in the rooms at night, so guests arriving then can be left outside for a long time behind locked doors. They also allegedly rent rooms by the hour, passing payment past the cash desk. To avoid using fresh linens, they straighten the used bedding after an hour and give the room to the next guest. Maybe, for an extra fee, they can arrange that particular kind of “pleasure.” The maids seem far too interested in guests' private lives. Don't be surprised if they discuss you, keep bringing you up, or even look you up on social media. If you weren't alone or were with the “wrong” person at the hotel, well, you get the idea.

Talia made a big difference to my stay at Terra Nova. She was warm, genuine, always smiling, and attentive to little things, and she was ready to help whenever needed. She made me feel welcome, almost at home. I came away with lovely memories of the whole staff. The hotel felt cozy and caring, and I'd happily return to Terra Nova. I recommend it.

I've stayed at your hotel often, and the managers have usually been kind and helpful. Today I dealt with Natalia, though, and she needs to learn how to speak to clients and understand the manager-client relationship. Please train her. If she wants to talk that way with friends, fine, but hotel guests shouldn't be treated like that. This felt like a bazaar, not a hotel.

We left the key and went away. The room was cold and smelled strongly of smoke, and when we tried to switch rooms, the administrator had disappeared. In the morning the maid gave us a ridiculous explanation, saying the open window had let the smoke in and the room was airing out, even though it was minus 10. She said we should have looked harder for the administrator and called him, but there was no number posted anywhere. We'd arrived at night and waited outside in the cold for half an hour before a drunk administrator finally opened the door. They didn't refund our money and blamed us as well. Awful place, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
