Right downtown, with a bus stop just outside and the main sights within walking distance. The room was stylish and the bed comfy. Breakfast at the restaurant was plentiful, with city views.

I won't book here again. At 1:00 a.m., a friend who was nearby came over, and we were heading to my room when security alerted the woman at the front desk. She said I had booked for one person and couldn't have visitors. She seemed to think he was staying overnight, but that wasn't the case. There were also teenagers running up and down the halls on several floors. Security just sat at the desk by the entrance, with no patrols of the hotel.

The hotel is tidy and clean, and seems to have been remodeled recently, though the showers need better maintenance. The bigger hassle was the room keys: old-fashioned mechanical keys, with just one for each room even when two guests were staying. For a group of 70, that caused lines at reception several times a day, as people arrived or left at different times in subgroups. I also found the staff's language choice uncomfortable. When they realized a guest was from abroad, service staff tended to switch to Polish. I'm an English-speaking visitor and always try to respect and understand the language of the country I'm in. As a tourist in Ukraine, I naturally expect translations to and from Ukrainian, not Chinese, Russian, Hindu, or Polish.

The rooms and bathrooms were quite clean, and ours was unusually spacious and nicely decorated. The food was okay, neither great nor terrible. There were three of us in a room that was meant to have three beds, but one was a pull-out couch and it was extremely uncomfortable. Other rooms had pull-out couches that were very comfortable, so it seems to be luck of the draw. Nobody could sleep on ours, which was a real inconvenience.
