Bank Hotel

The hotel is stylish and in a perfect location, with very clean, tidy rooms and especially bathrooms. Our stay got better after a rough start. The room we first had was windowless apart from a high roof window that couldn’t be opened, so there was no way to get fresh air. I was ill and spent three nights there. The hotel was full when I asked to move, so I think the room type should be made clear when booking. Once a room became available, the staff kindly helped us switch to a lovely room with a balcony. The breakfast area is smaller than the hotel’s capacity and could feel crowded when the hotel is full. Special thanks to “Margarita” for being so understanding and kind about our request 🙏🏻

The rooms and interiors are cozy and nicely designed, and the location puts all the main sights within walking distance. I had a very pleasant stay overall. The part that needs attention is how some restaurant staff handle their duties and treat guests at breakfast. Hopefully the hotel works on that, because then it could really merit a five-star rating. :-)

We had a lovely meal at the Safe restaurant. The beef rib and risotto were just right in size, and we also had potatoes on the side. To start, we shared asparagus and spring rolls, both delicious, with a particularly good sauce on the asparagus. Service was excellent. We went on a Monday at 8 pm, though, and it was very quiet.

The rooms are clean and well equipped, and both the service and the bar were excellent. Breakfast was great too. I’d have given five stars if the central air conditioning had kept the room cooler. In winter, guests have to open a window or the room gets uncomfortably hot.
