Blum Hotel

Sofia was a big help with my reservation and had such positive energy. The reception staff were very friendly, breakfast was tasty, and the location was excellent for the price.

Blum Hotel was a good choice from beginning to end. The English-speaking receptionist and other staff were very nice, and the service felt five-star without costing too much. It’s on a quiet side street in central Lviv, close to Rynok Square, the Opera House, Lviv University, a Puzata Khata cafeteria, restaurants, and Cimi grocery store. The building and rooms were renovated seven years ago. My room had a roomy bathroom and shower, a very comfortable bed, a large desk, quiet A/C, a fridge, a TV, and plenty of closet space. There’s tasty breakfast each morning, too. I’d definitely recommend Blum Hotel.

It’s a small, modern hotel, about 1 km from Rynok Square and 800 m from the Opera House, so both felt a bit far away. There’s a small market and Puzata Hata nearby, which was handy. The room was nice, though I wish they hadn’t left the window open. There wasn’t much shampoo, and the shower had no soap dispenser like you find in some other hotels. The service was the best we’ve ever had in a hotel. They let us stay an extra hour, called uKlon for us whenever we needed it, and let us leave our luggage in a room twice after our booking had ended.

The good parts were the breakfast, drinking water on every floor, and being close to the city center. Still, I’d choose somewhere else next time. In person, it looks much worse than in the photos. The room needs repairs, with dirty marks on the walls, old plumbing, and a shower door that won’t close. The bed was uncomfortable and didn’t feel safe. There’s no soundproofing either, you can hear the neighbors showering as if they were right beside you.
