Classic Hostel

The administrator makes up rules that no one understands, and accommodation prices change after booking on Booking. This hostel, called A1 Apartments Lviv, ruined our vacation. The administrator was a complete horror. It's a pity I didn't read the reviews sooner. There are plenty of good hostels in Lviv that treat people well, but this isn't one of them.

We had booked four places for the week, but our arrival got off to a bad start. We couldn't get in, and after three calls and a Viber message went unanswered, we waited 15 minutes before calling again. It left a poor impression.

We came to Lviv with our young child planning to stay the night. The administrator had asked when we'd arrive, and I said I'd message after crossing the border if it mattered that much. Once across, I wrote that we'd reach the hotel around 7:30 a.m., leave our bags, and go for a walk. At the hotel, I carried our things upstairs to reception and waited for someone to tell us what to do. Then Booking sent me a message saying the price had doubled. I asked the administrator why, since I'd booked at one price and nobody had warned me. I said it seemed to be because they saw our aussies. She told me to pay the amount I'd indicated or she'd throw me and my child out onto the street. I was in shock. She started being rude, pushing me and throwing things at me, so I called the police. The police came and I filed a statement. Our things were taken out of the hotel, and my minor child and I spent another two hours dealing with the conflict through Booking support.
