Danylo Inn

The price felt very fair for the quality, and the service was good. I also liked having a water dispenser on every floor, plus the toiletries smelled lovely. The hotel is very clean, well kept, and in a top location, with air conditioning throughout. There’s no elevator in this five-floor hotel. Our room also had no phone, so we had to go down to reception to ask for an iron.

It was easy to get around from here, with the town square, shops, restaurants, and eateries all just a short walk away. The room was comfortable and clean, and I liked the hotel.

We felt at home thanks to the amazing staff, who speak two languages and know the area well. The rooms were clean and had shower soap supplied. The bathrooms were clean too, with really spacious showers. There’s also a water cooler on every floor. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

The location was a big part of what made my stays work so well. Danylo Inn is steps from King Danylo Monument and Rynok Square, with cafes, restaurants, and bars right outside. Food can be ordered through Glovo or Bolt. There’s no food served at the hotel, but free drinking water is in the hallway. For a quieter room, I’d avoid facing Halatskya Street, where generators and crowds can be disruptive. I don’t know the name of the street, but the rooms at the back of the building are much quieter. I stayed at Danylo Inn 4 or 5 times over July and August 2024, and it was one of my best hotel experiences. Everyone, from the manager and housekeeping to reception, was welcoming and patient with my limited Ukrainian. I’m especially thankful to Stanislav, Oksana and Andriy at the front desk for all their help. They also safely kept my luggage twice, once while I went to Paris for the Olympics and again when I needed to stay somewhere else for a few days. Nothing went wrong. The rooms varied in size, with some fairly spacious and others a bit small, but all were adequate, very clean, and decorated in a modern, homey style. I loved the comfortable bed and could relax there after a day out. The old building has lovely wooden floors and a historic feel, but there’s no lift, and it isn’t wheelchair accessible or disability friendly. The lobby is on the 2nd floor, so you have to climb stairs to reach it. Rooms have a hot pot for boiling water, but there are no mini fridges or microwaves. The air conditioning worked well, which I appreciated in the terrible summer heat. I’d happily return in 2025.
