Mini-Hotel Freedom Mercurius

The lady owner is very customer-oriented, and the rooms are spotless, tidy, and well heated. It’s a budget-friendly stay in an old apartment building on an upper floor, so keep in mind there’s no elevator. Mini Hotel freedom is in the heart of the city, a five-minute walk from the opera house, with plenty of good restaurants and shops nearby. Scientists House is also close, with its magnificent neo-baroque library. I’d definitely recommend it.

There’s a shared kitchen decorated with flowers and paintings, which gives it a really atmospheric feel. The hotel itself has three rooms on the fifth floor.

It's quiet outside even though the location is central, but you can hear things through the wall at times. Inside, the room felt clean only on the surface. It's on the fourth floor with no elevator, so hauling lots of luggage up is difficult. The shower door doesn't shut properly, and water sprays through the gap into the bathroom. The toilet brush needs replacing too. There’s a phone and the internet is decent. At 370 UAH, it's okay for one night, but the place didn't feel very clean.
