Urban Hotel

The minimalist setup felt a bit too bare to me, and there are quite a few drawbacks. The rooms are small, the twin beds feel narrow enough that rolling over makes you think you might fall, and there’s no AC. There’s no carpet anywhere, even in the bathroom, so I had to wipe my feet before getting into bed. The bathroom also has just one trash bin, with none in the bedroom. The good parts were clean rooms, fast WiFi, a really nice shower with strong water pressure, and staff who were friendly and helpful. There’s a mall within walking distance with lots of restaurants and a big supermarket. It’s a bit far from the main sights, so staying closer to Old Town would be better if that’s your priority. There’s no restaurant in the hotel or room service, though they do provide tea and coffee. After my shower, water leaked under the bathroom door into the room. We also lost electricity for a couple of hours because there’s no backup power, though that seemed like an isolated incident.

The price was fair for the stay, but the walls are thin, so it’s not ideal if you wake easily. We had two rooms, and the shower drain was clogged in both.

The receptionist was helpful and friendly, and nobody disturbed us. That made for a nice stay.

The rooms are small doubles, recently renovated, with basic furnishings and no air conditioning. There’s parking in front of the hotel, though guarded parking may be a better choice about 700 m away, behind the roundabout by the shopping center. From there, you can take a taxi into the center. A large aquapark is about 800 m from the hotel.
