Wien Hotel

The location is great, though I can’t speak to the rooms because I wasn’t a hotel guest. I visited the restaurant recently, and the service was awful. They don’t seem understaffed, but nobody seats you, and getting a menu took 10-15 minutes. Nobody offered water. It took another 10 minutes to place an order, no one checked on the meal, and nobody seemed keen to bring the bill. I finally got up and carried a dirty plate to the bar to make it clear that service had fallen short. Before that, I’d already diplomatically told them to get their act together. The service felt like what you’d expect, and often got, in Soviet-era days. The food was average. Lviv has plenty of restaurants with better-than-average food and service, and better prices. Save your hryvnias and go somewhere else.

The room price was fair, and I’d stay here again. The hotel is right in the middle of the tourist area, and all the staff were friendly. When the shower hose broke as I started showering, I told the front desk and they fixed it right away. I was impressed by the service.

It’s a comfortable, calm place to unwind after a busy day sightseeing, with good service. The hotel is in central Lviv, close to the main attractions, including the opera house and theatre of beer.

The bellman gave us a great welcome, and the rooms were clean. The hotel is in a great spot, very close to all the places you need.
