8/10

The place has a fun Hogwarts theme, with books all over, Harry Potter films playing on big screens in the lobby, and even a very friendly tabby cat, their own Mrs Norris. Anyone with allergies might want to think twice about staying here. We had two rooms, Slytherin and Ravenclaw, and both had maintenance issues. The sink in Slytherin’s bathroom was clogged, and the Ravenclaw shower smelled, probably of mold. Staff fixed both quickly after we reported them, but guests shouldn’t have to point these things out. Both rooms were also dusty in hard-to-reach spots, like under the tables. With a new cleaning crew, this could easily be a five-star place.

The crew’s English was a bit limited, but we could communicate. Our room was cozy and had a bathroom, fridge, big TV, and air-conditioning. It was a very nice hostel, though the floor was a bit dirty.

Most things were nearly satisfying, but the bugs were a big problem. We couldn’t use the kitchen. The bugs were the only bad thing.

I’d never stayed in a hostel before, and this turned out to be a fun, really nice experience. The people were lovely.
