The service minded staff, the hotel's architecture and those inside stairs all made an impression. My room had a rooftop window, and the kettle in the room was a nice touch. Breakfast even had oatmeal, a typical Swedish breakfast dish, and the coffee was drinkable. Coffee can sometimes be a problem in eastern Europe, so I usually bring my own. If the hotel had fixed line internet, I'd have stayed a month and worked from there. I don't often give five stars, but it was hard not to this time.

The breakfasts at the nearby restaurant were great. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable, and the location is very good. My one gripe was that the air conditioner in the room didn't work properly.

A nightmare. The girl at check-in asked for payment, so I paid in advance. The mosquito net in my room was faulty and kept opening by itself. Mosquitoes got in during the night and massacred me. Then I woke up with a huge centipede on my leg. At reception, they apologized and said it had probably come from outside. Sorry, but centipedes burrow in covered places, not in a courtyard. I asked for a discount because of what happened, and was told it wasn't possible since I'd already paid. Is that a joke? Of course I'd paid, I had to pay to get the key. When was I meant to ask for a discount, before any of this happened?

The rooms and beds are big and beautiful, the staff are friendly, and the prices are good. It's on a quiet street just two blocks from downtown, so the location is great.
