Atlas Hotel

This was our second stay at the Atlas Hotel, and we liked everything again. It was clean, warm, and cozy, with free coffee and tea as a nice extra. We'll definitely come back 😊

We were travelling and rented a room for one night. The bed was really comfortable and everything was clean. Quick, contactless check-in was a pleasure: we arrived from the road, walked straight in, showered, and went to bed without waiting for anyone. No dull conversation or stacks of paperwork either. I'd definitely recommend it for an overnight stay of 1-2 days.

It's a small hotel with remote check-in and no contact with hotel staff, a good, reasonably priced stop for an overnight stay on a trip or business trip. The room was clean, tidy, and up to modern standards. I had no noise insulation issues; everything seemed normal. There are parking spots in the shared area beside the building, but they're not secured. There are no extra services like breakfast or a full kitchen, which is just what some people need. You can make tea or coffee yourself, and everything for that is provided. The hardest part is finding the hotel itself without navigation.

I was coming to Poltava for surgery and booked a room at the Atlas Hotel (15 Navrotskoho Street) by calling the receptionist directly. I stressed that I was having surgery and needed things to be reliable. We agreed they'd contact me the day before I arrived, but they didn't, so I had to call. The receptionist said she'd sent a message, but it had gone to someone else with a similar Booking.com reservation. They blamed a system glitch, apologized, and confirmed room #5. When I arrived the evening before surgery, someone was already in that room. They'd "mixed up" the rooms, and in fact it seemed intentional because the room they gave me was the worst. The other guests refused to move, and their room was a mess, so I ended up taking room number three. It was a nightmare: a constant nauseating smell of damp and something else, a clogged shower drain, and a leaking shower stall that flooded the whole bathroom floor. I asked to be moved and they promised to fix it. The next day, the day of my surgery, I had to move back to room #5, which hadn't been cleaned yet. On my last day, another surprise: there was no hot or cold drinking water because they hadn't replaced the bottle in the water cooler on time. I was left without even the basic breakfast I'd been counting on before my trip. If I hadn't been having surgery, I wouldn't have stayed even one night. There was no compensation or offer, just an apology from the manager and a promise that "the owners are aware." Very disappointed. I don't recommend this place, especially if reliability and comfort matter to you.
