Galpin Hotel

A good hotel.

At night the rooms are dark and freezing, around 15 degrees, with no heat or lights. They only switch on the lighting and heating in the evening, then turn everything off overnight. The generator seems to be there in name only, and although there are electric heaters, the sockets don't work. It feels like they keep them off so guests can't use the heaters. Horrible hotel, just awful!!!

01/20/26. May God have mercy, this is completely unsanitary. There are sockets only behind the refrigerator and under the table, and it's dog-cold, just 10 degrees, even though it's -20 outside.

We came to the hotel's restaurant and were extremely satisfied. Only the first courses were ready when we arrived, but within 30 minutes we were served freshly made fried potatoes, meat dumplings, two kinds of pancakes, two salads, and mashed potatoes. Everything was tasty and fresh, and the prices were very reasonable. The five of us had dinner as a family and paid about what coffee, hot dogs, and maybe one small extra would cost at a gas station.
