The building is new, and having an air conditioner, plates, a baby chair and a crib was useful. But the place doesn't feel worth more than $45 a night. Our washroom window wouldn't close, the shower smelled, and the stairs to the second floor felt dangerous. Check-in was late, and after two nights our towels and garbage still hadn't been taken care of. The lake is about a 25-minute walk away. If you're hungry, Nestor House Restaurant has amazing food.

I can't recommend this place. There was dust in the bed, dirty floors and a dirty bathroom with mold and a urine smell. The water smelled rusty, and there were webs across the ceilings, dried insects on the walls, flies in the room and lots of spiders in the kitchen. The washbasin stand was dirty, and the hairdryer was over the washbasin. There was no sound insulation, and the price went up a week before check-in. Staff were walking around without masks.

The grounds are lovely, with a playground, gazebos and a kitchen that has a coffee machine. We had trouble with the steep stairs to the second floor, so I'd suggest booking downstairs. The beach takes a bit of walking to reach, but it's not far. Sound insulation is basically zero. On our first night, the group across from us kept making noise until the third night. The bathroom door in our room wouldn't close. We've been to Svityaz before, and even with these issues I'd still recommend the place for a break.
