Hotel Hermes

The staff were the reason I'd stay at Hermes again. The receptionists, especially Anastasia, as well as the cleaning and restaurant staff, were very welcoming. I liked the hotel a lot. It's about 2 km from the center, but a nice place. We were staying on the top floor in a very exotic room, and the ordinary breakfast was enough for us. There are things that could be improved, of course, but compared with the daily price and other hotels, this one was okay. Thank you, Hermes.

We used the conference hall on the second floor, and it was perfectly adequate for what we needed. Our cozy little room was under the roof on the fifth floor, with excellent beds and everything we wanted. It was very clean. We had supper and breakfast at the hotel restaurant, which I'd highly recommend. I had beef on the rib with boiled potatoes and cabbage salad for supper, then crepes and coffee in the morning. Our server, Nikita, did an excellent job. Loved it!

I've been traveling in Ukraine for more than eight years, and this is by far the worst place I've stayed. The waitress seemed to have no idea what she was serving. The beer was warm, the food was cold and tasteless. It's a shame for Ukraine. Warning, don't visit this place. You'd be better off finding somewhere under a bridge.

The standard rooms are nice, but the "lux" rooms aren't at all, with a lot of space going to waste. It had only opened a few days earlier, so it was still very clean, though there were a few small problems here and there. For the price, it's absolutely okay. The staff were typical for Eastern Europe ;) Still, it's a good start in the right direction.
