It was a very quiet place, with good security, and the trip to or from the airport took only about 15-20 minutes. The staff were friendly, and by the time I left nearly everyone knew my name. My room was huge, clean, air conditioned, and had a lake view. The bathroom was spacious, with both a shower and a bathtub, so two people could wash up at once if they wanted. There was lots of space to hang clothes, and breakfast offered 6-8 choices each morning.

My Turkish airline flight was cancelled on 12th December 2025 while I was on my way back to UK, so we spent the whole day at this hotel. Everything else was perfect. At dinner, while we were eating something to keep us going through the travel, one young staff member came over and took a bottle of water from me, saying I wasn't supposed to have two. That's okay, but I can afford to pay for anything I want.

The location is beautiful, and the staff are friendly, as Ugandan people generally are. But the hotel doesn't live up to its current star rating. It looks like it may once have been a wonderful place to stay, yet management is poor and the staff aren't maintaining the building and services to even a basic standard. The food was borderline, though I'm not from here and the current level may be acceptable locally.

The grounds and location are a 10/10, but the hotel itself feels dated. The decor is old fashioned and needs an update, and the rooms smell damp and mouldy when you enter.

This place feels like it was left in 2015. The paint is peeling, there are disgusting spiders everywhere, and the food is mediocre and overpriced. The staff are rude, and there isn't even a beach. Just abysmal.
