Sunset Hotel Entebbe

Restaurants are within walking distance, and the prices are competitive for the area. I love staying at sunset Entebbe because it's always peaceful and clean, with friendly, professional staff. Breakfast is simple but delicious, with coffee, eggs, toast, fruit, juice, and tea. They also have an airport shuttle.

I've used this place a few times over the years while travelling through Entebbe to other parts of Uganda. In April and May 2025, though, the front desk service was notably poor. Two different staff members were unhelpful and somewhat rude. When I asked what was going on, both women said they were working 12-hour shifts without a break and were too tired. At Muti, or previously guinea fowl, the service has been polite, welcoming, and helpful. At sunset I felt like a burden instead of a paying guest. I'd stay here only as a last resort, not by choice. Things can change, though, and I'd be glad to hear if the service improves.

Not worth the money. The price is too high for what you get. And yes, I mean four words.

The price was very reasonable, and breakfast was included. We had a lovely stay at Sunset hotel, with a roomy, comfortable room overlooking the gardens. The staff were friendly too.
