The Mansion Hotel

The building and grounds are beautiful, and the rooms are spacious and bright. But we had two days without hot water in a superior room with a balcony, and breakfast was really boring. This place has the potential to become a five-star hotel with the right staff management.

The meeting went very smoothly, and attendees from around the region were happy with the arrangements and how everything was organized. We held it in this grand mansion hotel, with impressive architecture and lush surroundings, for an event we'd been looking forward to. The only thing that took away from the experience a little was the bad road leading to the hotel. That was an outside issue and beyond the organizers' control. Despite it, the event itself was carried out flawlessly, and we got positive feedback from everyone.

Don't pay in advance. We prepaid for 36 rooms for two nights and another 15 rooms for one night for a conference at the hotel. They booked us for a day earlier than planned and charged us for rooms nobody used, then waited two days to tell us we'd be charged anyway. Many conference participants had to leave a day early. Joshua, the general manager, seemed unconcerned about how the mistake happened, blamed us, and said we'd confirmed it in a phone call on the day in question. The check-in date wasn't mentioned, so we thought we were confirming the following day. The hotel knew our Reception Dinner was planned for that following day, which was supposed to be check-in. Why, then, was the check-in date wrong? Joshua wouldn't consider our side of what happened and didn't apologize.

The place was peaceful enough, but getting up the stairs to the hall above the kitchen was a struggle, especially when tired 🤕. An easier way up would help. Service was poor, particularly for a big group 👎🚶‍♀️.
