The rooms are okay, and the food is really good, though they should improve how it’s packed. Customer service stood out, especially Patricia at reception, who was amazing 🥰😩🫂. I’d suggest branded paper bags for food and drinks too, since that could give the place more visibility.

The prices seem reasonable at first, but I’ve stayed in more than 350 hotels and guesthouses around Uganda, and honestly these rooms feel closer to 20k or 30k. The listed rates start at 60k and 90k and go up. The beds are too small no matter what you pay, the WiFi is slow, and the water pressure is awful, just a trickle. Hot water very rarely works, and the toilet cistern can take ages to refill. I’ve had better pressure and hot water at Kabale guesthouses costing 20-25. Breakfast was bad too. If you stay, negotiate hard. There are better places elsewhere.

The restaurant and bar had a homely feel, and it seems like a decent place for an average budget. Food came out very fresh, although the menu is quite limited. Reception staff and waitresses were polite. Capricon is right in the middle of town, near a police station, on a relatively quiet stretch of the main street, so security feels assured.

It’s a nice-looking spot in central Kabale, convenient for travellers since transport to and from the hotel is easy to get. The rooms are comfortable, prices are affordable, and customer care is good. Meals took a little too long to arrive after ordering, though, and management should look into that.
